Registration
NOTE: A minimum enrollment is required for us to be able to offer
the SVI program; therefore qualified applicants are strongly urged
to submit items 1,2, and 5 below early (Jan. 1 – March 15) for
planning purposes.
The deadline for applications is March 15, although
applications will be accepted up to May 1 if space permits. An
application packet for the Summer Vocology Institute 2008 must include
the following:
- A completed admission form. click for: [pdf format] or [word format] These will open in a new browser window.
- A resume with relevant educational and professional experience.
Any professional honors, publications or presentations should
be noted.
- A transcript from your most recent degree program.
- Three letters of recommendation. These may be sent under separate
cover
- A statement of past experiences and professional goals. Although
the format will vary from individual to individual, these personal
statements should include summaries of previous professional and
educational experiences that were of a concentrated nature similar
to the SVI as well as a description of how the SVI will facilitate
attainment of future goals.

Costs
Because the SVI is administered through Iowa's
Center for Credit Programs, participants are eligible for the low,
in-state graduate tuition rate. Tuition for Summer 2008
is $360 per semester hour , or $3,240 for the entire 9 credit-hours program.
New Tuition Payment
System : Tuition will be directly paid to Iowa
- you will be billed by them, NCVS will no longer handle the tuition
payments.
Please note: There are Lab fees for all classes: Principles of Voice and Speech: $75; Intrumentation for Voice Analysis: $100; Voice Habilation: $50; Voice for the Performers: $25.

Block one:
Students need to purchase Dr. Titze’s book for block one,
Principles of Voice Production. You may
do so by contacting Kent Montgomery at 303-446-4834 or by following
the link on our website, http://www.ncvs.org/ncvs/library/pubs/index.html.
Study guides and the tentative syllabus for this course are in the curriculum section for SVI. Please take advantage of the on-line tutorials on the ncvs.org
website as well (links available from the SVI pages). You should
read the first four chapters of the book well before you arrive
in Denver.
