Supporting the NCVS

The primary way to help the NCVS is to support the NCVS Fund, which contributes to educational and outreach projects conducted by the National Center for Voice and Speech.

For more information, go to the NCVS Fund website.

There are also two smaller funds to help specific projects at the NCVS.  Click on the link below to jump to the opportunity description.

Donations are tax deductible.

The NCVS Fund,
supporting voice educational and outreach programs

At the NCVS, we are proud to serve the nation with cutting-edge information about the human voice. We are the only research/clinical facility in the world that is an integral part of a professional performing arts center. Work is currently underway to develop concise phonosurgical techniques, improve our understanding and prevention of occupational voice disorders in teachers and artists, and build a voice simulator for clinical and pedagogical use.

Our team of scientists and clinicians has been successfully funded by continuous support from highly competitive NIH research grants for 25 years. However, we hope to begin a new chapter for the NCVS. We plan to translate the basic research and hard science that we will continue to conduct into practical applications for a clinician such as yourself. To do this, we seek support from you to expand the dissemination of our research, to create internships for future researchers and clinicians, and to create scholarships for our well-known Summer Vocology Institute.

You can help us immeasurably by making a donation, small or large, to the NCVS Fund. For more information or to make your contribution online, visit the NCVS Fund website.

The Milton and Irene Pritts Fund,
supporting the NCVS Museum of Voice

Irene Pritts, mother of the late Roy Pritts (an NCVS board member and the NCVS Museum curator), passed away on July 15, 2004. Mrs. Pritts and her husband Milton were long-time collectors of vintage recording equipment, and their collection now resides at the NCVS. A memorial fund was set up in her name to benefit the further development and display of items housed in the NCVS’ Marvin and Judi Wolf Museum of Voice.

As mentioned above, our beloved friend Roy Pritts, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2007. Roy was known all over the world, primarily as President of the Audio Engineering Society, but he was also a musician (piano and trombone), composer, author, administrator, and educator. He established the Music Technology/Recording Arts program at the University of Colorado in 1971. Of great significance to us, he procured most of the initial exhibits for the NCVS Museum of Voice. Please help us finish what he started. Thank you.
