Julie Ostrem, BS, MBA

Julie Ostrem, BS, MBA, is an educational program director for the NCVS at The University of Iowa site. She formerly served as the NCVS coordinator for the Continuing Education initiative. Her professional interests in vocal health communications draw on her educational background: a bachelor's degree in journalism from Iowa State University and a master's degree in business administration from The University of Iowa. Before joining the NCVS, she served as a mid-career program coordinator for the prestigious University of Missouri School of Journalism.

She is currently building a vocal health website for teachers called "Voice Academy" (www.voiceacademy.org), funded by a grant from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
