Juanita Limas is a Research Assistant II in the Department
of Speech Pathology & Audiology at the University of Iowa working in
the laboratory of Dr. Ingo Titze. She holds degrees in Biochemistry
and Spanish from the University of Iowa. Along with working for the
National Center for Voice and Speech she also works for Dr. J. Bruce
Tomblin in the Department of Speech Pathology & Audiology at the
University of Iowa on a genetics project overseeing DNA collection,
and before that was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua from 2000 -
2002.
Areas of academic interest include biomechanics of the voice,
tissue engineering, cell culture, genetic analysis, and gene
expression.
