Sarah Klemuk, BA, BS
Sarah
Klemuk, BA, BS, is a doctoral candidate in speech and hearing
science at The University of Iowa and is studying under the direction
of Ingo Titze.
Prior to beginning this degree program, she earned a bachelor's
degree in physics at Iowa. Sarah also earned a BA degree with a
double major in music and elementary education from the University
of Northern Iowa and has completed graduate coursework in the area
of language development at both previously mentioned universities.
Sarah was a public school teacher for six years before returning
to school to study physics and continues to enjoy making music as
a regular church musician in Iowa City.
Areas of academic interest include biomechanics of the voice, tissue
engineering, cellular and chemical changes due to oscillation, laryngeal
hydration, laryngeal stamina, vocal fatigue, methods of diagnosis,
computer modeling, and teaching..
