Communications Specialist
Ms. Hunter received her B.S. in English and M.S. in Linguistics. She worked as the Communication Specialist for Trigen Boston Energy Corporation (later acquired by Veolia Energy), where she was responsible for improving community relations, as well as developing press releases, marketing materials, client proposals, and technical writing courses. After moving to Iowa City, she was employed at the Iowa Geriatric Education Center, a non-profit center at the University of Iowa. In her position, she developed and edited design of program information dissemination and continuing education tools such as pamphlets, brochures, electronic newsletters, on-line modules, and IGEC website. Currently, she consults at the NCVS as a technical editor, where she assists with developing grant proposals, scientific manuscripts, and marketing tools
